Situation: our client was due to lose brand patent in 2 months, so wanted to do some pre-emptive market share defence.

Task: there were 2 clear tasks required to help with this project – first to provide an understanding of rebates for the NHS and relevant market, and secondly to demonstrate the feasibility of implementing a rebate.

Action: we produced primary care profiles to assess the viability of implementing a rebate based on the current market and product dynamics. Once this was agreed to be of value, we set up the rebate on our automated system based on the legal and logistical requirements.

Result: our client had absolute clarity and confidence regarding the potential benefits for offering a rebate, with a forecast which was better than the current market trend.
